Bellingham cardiologist to discuss coronary CT scanning Feb. 7

Dr. Thomas Oliver, a cardiologist with PeaceHealth North Cascade Cardiology, will discuss the benefits of coronary CT scanning at a free talk in Bellingham Saturday, Feb. 7.

The imaging technology can identify calcium deposits in arteries and determine if they are narrowing, which can make a person vulnerable to coronary problems.

Oliver will speak at 11 a.m. in room A at St. Luke’s Community Health Education Center, 3333 Squalicum Parkway, just east of St. Joseph hospital. People are welcome to come at 10:30 a.m. for coffee and visiting before his talk.

Oliver’s presentation is hosted by Mended Hearts, a nonprofit group of volunteers who support heart patients and their caregiver families. Details: 360-788-6928, mendedhearts-Bellingham.org.
