Seattle Seahawks fans are asked to bring their smartphones, flashlights or glow sticks to form a giant lighted “12” on Civic Field during a Blue Friday rally.

Gates at the field, 1355 Civic Field Way, open at 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30. People will be escorted onto the football field to form a giant “12.” At 6 p.m. the stadium lights will be turned off, and everyone will hold up their lights.

Photos of the lighted “12” will be put on the websites of Cascade Radio Group stations and social media, where they can be downloaded.

Some glow sticks, provided by Party City, will be available as people arrive. As they leave, “12” posters and Seahawks-themed temporary tattoos will be handed out, while supplies last.

The event is sponsored by the Cascade Radio Group, which has five radio stations in Bellingham: KAFE 104.1 FM, KBAI-AM 930, KGMI AM 790, KISM 92.9 FM, and KPUG-AM 1170.
