A group of drivers has decorated one of Whatcom Transportation Authority’s buses in Seattle Seahawks’ colors as the team prepares to play Sunday in Super Bowl XLIX.

Drivers Cathy Holland and Kay Van Diest took the lead in decorating the bus last Sunday after the Seahawks beat Green Bay in the NFC Championship game, said Maureen McCarthy, WTA spokeswoman.

The bus has posters featuring such Seahawks players as Earl Thomas and Richard Sherman, flashing green LED lights, and the requisite 12th Man flag. WTA employees also got permission to wear Seahawks gear on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Dispatchers decide each day where to assign the bus.

“They are purposely putting it on many different routes to maximize the number of riders who can enjoy it,” McCarthy said in an email.

To find out where to catch it on a given day through Sunday, go to WTA’s Facebook page, on Twitter @ridewwta, or call 360-676-RIDE (7433).
