Tree limb knocks out power to nearly 2,000 Ferndale customers

A tree limb felled power lines and knocked out power to 1,990 Ferndale customers on Tuesday, Dec. 30, yet power was restored within an hour, according to Puget Sound Energy.

City Hall closed at noon Tuesday after losing power around 11:30 a.m.

Power was initially estimated to be restored later in the day, but crews were able to remove the tree limb from the power lines and restore power at 12:28 p.m., according to PSE. The crew was dispatched at 11:53 a.m.

Other scattered outages in Ferndale reported by PSE on Tuesday were resolved by the afternoon.
