The National Weather Service says western Whatcom County residents should expect another night of windy weather starting about 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11.
A high wind warning has been issued, predicting south to southeast winds of 30 to 40 mph with gusts to 65 mph. The winds are expected to pick up about 6 p.m. and increase before slowly easing after midnight.
Shorelines and areas exposed to southerly wind should get the brunt of it.
By daybreak the winds should significantly diminish, according to the NWS.
Friday should be the end in this series of storms. Expect showers and light winds. Temperatures will fall during the day as the rain tapers off and sunny but cooler weather moves in for the weekend.
