Skiers will need to be a little more patient when it comes to hitting the slopes at the Mt. Baker Ski Area.
The pounding rain forced Mt. Baker Ski Area officials to cancel a planned Thanksgiving opening. According to the Mt. Baker Ski Area’s website on Thursday evening, Nov. 27, officials are now waiting for at least 20 inches of snow before opening. The lodge and retails shops will also be closed until more snow arrives.
According to the website’s snow report, forecasts call for 7 to 12 inches of new snow on Friday, Nov. 28.
