BP Cherry Point Refinery workers will be practicing oil spill response techniques Friday, Nov. 21, in the waters off Birch Bay State Park.
No actual oil will be in the water for the drill, which is scheduled to run 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Crews will deploy about 1,000 feet of containment boom. People may see two skimming vessels on the water and BP emergency vehicles on shore. Signs will let park users know about the drill.
