Robots and 3D printers will be part of demonstrations from teachers and students in a fundraiser put on by the Bellingham Public Schools Foundation on Wednesday, Nov. 12.
The Night Out for STEM fundraising event is aimed to support expanding opportunities in science, technology, engineering and math across the Bellingham School District, organizers said. It will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Bellingham Golf and Country Club.
Andy Bunn, director of the Institute for Energy Studies at Western Washington University, will speak at the event; students and teachers from Bellingham schools will give STEM-based demonstrations.
There is no cost to attend. Phillips 66 will match the first $5,000 in donations raised. To RSVP for the fundraiser or to donate, visit the foundation’s website.
