Fairhaven’s Blessings Salon Spa is holding a Nov. 6 event on behalf of Abigail D. Gulotta, an employee at the salon who was believed to be murdered by a U.S. Coast Guardsman in August.
The event will feature music, a fashion show, food, prize drawings and a silent auction. Tickets are $20 per person; all proceeds will benefit the Fairhaven library, Whatcom Humane Society, Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services of Whatcom County, and the National Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
Gulotta, 59, was seen leaving a Fairhaven bar with a man police believed to be Petty Officer 3rd Class Michael G. Arnold, 33, on Aug. 2. She was found dead in her apartment the next morning. Arnold spray-painted apologies for the killing and hanged himself in Arizona later that week.
