Sunday’s temperatures that felt like mid-summer shattered the record high for Oct. 19.
The official recording at Bellingham International Airport hit 75 degrees, smashing the previous record of 67 degrees set in 1987.
Sunday’s temperatures were about 10 degrees warmer than Saturday’s levels, according to the National Weather Service. It looks like Sunday’s weather was a one-day anomoly and possibly the last day of the year in the 70s. Expect the high to reach about 60 degrees the rest of this week as the typical fall rainy weather sets in.
