Event to focus on Bellingham homeless teens

Nonprofit organization Giving Circle is holding a luncheon on Oct. 29 to raise awareness for struggles facing homeless youth.

Established in 2011, Giving Circle raises money for clothing and school supplies for homeless teens enrolled in Bellingham schools.

Steve Clark, Bellingham School District assistant superintendent of teaching and learning, will speak at the luncheon.

The event starts at 12 p.m. and costs $8.50 per person. It will be held in the board room of school district office at 1306 Dupont St. Seating is limited.
