Environmental scientist Allen Hershkowitz to present at WWU

Prominent environmental scientist Allen Hershkowitz will give a presentation at Western Washington University on business innovation and environmental sustainability on Tuesday, Oct. 21.

The event is free and open to the public. It will be held in the Communications Facility, room 120.

Hershkowitz is a senior scientist at the Natural Resources Defense Council and has gained notoriety coordinating greening initiatives with high-profile organizations such as the Academy Awards and professional sports leagues, according to a press release sent out by WWU.

The event, put on with the help of the NW Innovation Resource Center, will serve as the kickoff for the 2015 NW Washington Sustainability Challenge, which gives students the opportunity to compete with other entrepreneurs for sustainable business ideas.
