Candidate wanted for Bellingham Public Library board

Candidates are being sought for a Bellingham Public Library Board of Trustees position that will open starting in January 2015, when trustee Faye Hill’s term ends.

The board governs and makes policy for the Bellingham Public Library system. Positions are voluntary and terms are for five years.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens, have been a Washington state resident for at least the last three years and a Bellingham resident for the last two years.

The Board of Trustees will review the applications and interview candidates.

Completed applications must be signed and given to the Mayor’s Office at City Hall, 210 Lottie St., Bellingham, WA 98225. The mayor will interview the finalists and recommend one to the Bellingham City Council for approval.
