Shopping, dancing part of Bosom Boutique cancer fundraiser in Bellingham

Music, dancing demonstrations, raffles, manicures, shopping and lots of pink swag will be part of the inaugural Bosom Boutique fundraiser Saturday, Oct. 11.

The first 50 guests at the family event, which runs from 2 to 5 p.m., will receive a grab bag of samples, coupons and goods.

Zumba and belly-dancing demonstrations will alternate with live music throughout the event, which will be at Love to Move StudioZ, 311 E. Holly St. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.

Vendors will be offering cosmetics, skin care, tanning, massage, dance and chiropractic services, among other products.

Vendors will be donating a portion of sales to TeamJulia.org, a nonprofit founded in 2012 to advance breast cancer research and help families afflicted by cancer. It’s named after Bellingham-area resident Julia Pohlman, who battled breast cancer for five years before dying in February 2014 at age 38.

Admission is free, but donations will be accepted.

For more about the event, visit the Bosom Boutique Facebook page. Donations to Team Julia can be made at teamjulia.org, at any Wells Fargo branch or mail a check to Team Julia, 1542 Geneva St., Bellingham, WA 98229.
