Cancer genetics focus of Oct. 14 talk in Bellingham

PeaceHealth St. Joseph Cancer Center will present a program on “The Evolving World of Cancer Genetics” on Tuesday, Oct. 14.

Lorraine Naylor, a licensed genetic counselor from UW Medical Center, will facilitate the free program.

It begins at 6:30 p.m. in Room A at the St. Luke’s Community Health Education Center, 3333 Squalicum Parkway.

Naylor will discuss how genetics can affect both prevention and early intervention strategies. Participants also will learn how family genetics can be interpreted to help assess the risk of diseases.
