Drivers who travel north on Interstate 5 near Slater Road should prepare for lane closures Monday, Sept. 22 through Thursday, Sept. 25.
The right lane will be closed from 8 a.m. Monday, Sept. 22, through 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, while Washington State Department of Transportation crews repair panels in the road just north of Slater Road.
The left lane will be closed from 8 a.m. Wednesday through 11 a.m. Thursday for similar work.
Though the actual area of repairs is fairly small, crews will need to block a stretch of the lanes leading up to and past the Slater Road exit for each closure, WSDOT spokesman Tom Pearce said.
No wide loads will be allowed on that section of northbound I-5 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Monday and Wednesday.
