Whatcom Transportation Authority will begin trips to Meridian Village and WinCo Foods on Monday, Sept. 22.

Trips on Route 15 from downtown Bellingham to Cordata that start at 55 minutes after the hour will include stops at those destinations east of Meridian Street. WTA added the stops in response to public demand, especially for service to WinCo.

In the other significant change to bus service that begins on Monday, two round trips will be added to the weekday runs of the 72X to Kendall. One 72X round trip will be added on Saturdays. The extra service to the east county was funded with a federal grant to the Nooksack Indian Tribe.

Other changes are minor. Check for updates to bus schedules on the WTA website, ridewta.com.
