A free disaster preparedness workshop Thursday, Sept. 25, will help people develop a plan for their family, offer tips and learn more about preparedness in the community.
The event, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., will be put on by the Mt. Baker Chapter of the American Red Cross at its office, 2111 King St.
“Having a game plan in place is essential for all households so everyone knows what they should do when an emergency occurs,” said Leah Rush, disaster program manager for the Mt. Baker Chapter, in a press release. “National Preparedness Month is a perfect time for Whatcom County residents to create or update their plan.”
To attend, RSVP to 360-733-3290, ext. 1015, or email email@example.com.
