Lynden event to honor local first responders on Sept. 11

Say thanks to local police and firefighters during the 7th annual Heroes Day at Christian Health Care Center on Thursday, Sept. 11.

The event at 855 Aaron Drive honors local heroes and the sacrifice of those who died in the 9/11 terror attacks.

Plans include a 10 a.m. start with American Legion Honor Guards, the Pledge of Allegiance and opening remarks by local dignitaries. A moment of silence and the National Anthem will be included, followed by vehicle tours, meet and greets with first responders and light refreshments by Sugar Shack ice cream truck. The event is scheduled to conclude at 11:30 am.
