Expect lots of bicyclists on Chuckanut Drive and near Lake Samish Sunday, Sept. 7, as they ride to raise money to combat multiple sclerosis.
Nearly 2,000 cyclists are expected to participate in Bike MS Washington this weekend. The route Sunday will take cyclists north from Skagit County along Lake Samish Drive, onto Old Samish Drive and eventually down Chuckanut Drive en route back into Skagit County. Riders also will be gathered at rest stops in Alger and Larrabee State Park, where they will have lunch.
Money raised during the event supports research, programs and services provided by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Greater Northwest Chapter, for the 12,000 people living with multiple sclerosis in the region.
