Activites planned for Whatcom Middle School students

Since Whatcom Middle School students are out of school until Thursday, Nov. 12, local organizations are offering several activities to keep them occupied.

Bellingham Boys & Girls Club will open at 11 a.m. for all Whatcom Middle School students, regardless of membership. Free lunch and activities will be provided.

Teaching artists from Allied Arts Education Project will be helping students make mixed media collages at the American Museum of Radio and Electricity from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and recycled art sculptures at the RE Store from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Whatcom Family YMCA is offering free swimming from 11 a.m. to noon and 2 to 3:15 p.m.
