Multiple Whatcom County school boards are having special meetings this week to discuss personnel and policy issues. The following list does not include any regularly scheduled meetings.
Ferndale School Board - 5:45 p.m. Monday, Jan. 5, at the district office, 6041 Vista Drive. Announcing the consulting service that will help with the search to replace retiring superintendent Roger Lehnert.
Countywide school board meeting - 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 5, in the Bellingham School District Office, 1306 Dupont St. Meet with legislators and discuss education issues for the upcoming legislative session.
Blaine School Board - 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, in the district office, 770 Mitchell Ave. Create a plan to replace Blaine High School Principal Dan Newell, who has accepted a position at the state Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction.
