A man was arrested Thursday after he set up a hidden camera in Larrabee State Park to film women in the shower, according to the Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office.
Gregory James Ward was booked into Whatcom County Jail on suspicion of voyeurism.
In August, a female camper at Larrabee State Park found a hidden camera that had been placed under a bench in a unisex or family shower and turned it over to park officials, according to Undersheriff Jeff Parks with the Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives examined the contents of the camera memory, and Ward was captured on a footage while setting up the camera in a home at a different location, Parks said, adding Ward had recorded a female friend at that home.

Later, when the camera was moved to Larrabee State Park, Ward recorded his friend in the same shower/restroom where the female camper found the camera, Parks said.
Ward admitted to placing the camera in order to capture his friend using the shower at the park, but denied intending to record the female camper, Parks said.
