It’s that time when the city does crack-sealing work on local streets, and this year the focus is central Bellingham.
Crews started the preventive maintenance work and it is expected to last two more weeks depending on the weather, according to a news release from the city. Most of the work will be done north of Alabama Street, east of Cornwall Avenue, west of Lake Whatcom and south of Sunset Drive.
Motorists should expect delays and flaggers will be directing drivers around any lane closures.
