Día de los Muertos or Day of the Dead, a Mexican holiday celebrated Nov. 1, was held Saturday at the Lightcatcher Museum, 250 Flora St.
According to the tradition, Nov. 1 is the day when the spirits of loved ones are honored with altars called “ofrenda” that are decorated with loved ones’ photos, trinkets and food.
The local Mexican folklorico dance troupe Chicas Reinas also performed during Saturday’s festivities.
