Here’s a list of Whatcom businesses closing to slow the spread of coronavirus

These Whatcom County businesses are closing or altering services for several weeks in response to Gov. Jay Inslee’s call for social distancing to try to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Services

Now closed: Fourth Corner Frames.

Brio Laundry is closed March 23-27, plans on opening 7 a.m. on Saturday, March 28.

WECU is closing its lobbies including Home Loan and Business Banking centers. However, they will still be staffed and drive-thru services are available and appointments can be made for other services.

Align Chiropractic, also known as Back in Motion, is closed through March 31.

The Blaine Chamber of Commerce office is closed until further notice, with staff continuing to work from home.

Northshore Veterinary Hospital is asking clients with non-urgent/life-threatening appointments to reschedule their appointments to conserve medical equipment and keep people from risking exposure. “We are also encouraging people who have sick family members to drop off patients or remain in their car and call us when they arrive so that we can come and get their pet.”

The Spa at The Chrysalis will close March 26 until restrictions are lifted.

Bellingham Pediatric Dentistry will be closed from March 16- March 31.

AAA Washington is closing all stores and insurance offices in Washington, including in Bellingham. Members can call 800-AAA-HELP for emergency road service, request it online at AAA.com or on the Auto Club App. Members can go online to AAA.com for travel, insurance, discounts and membership information; call their travel and insurance agent directly.

Lynden Chamber of Commerce is closed as of March 16.

The offices of The Barkley Team at Country Financial are closed for in-person appointments but open for business as financial representatives and insurance agents are working remotely via phone and video conference at 360-527-0205.

Shearer’s Hair Design will be closed as of March 16 for 2 weeks.

Restaurants and entertainment

Also now closed: Extremes Sports Grill & Pizzeria.

Pepper Sisters has closed and hopes to reopen April 14.

Mambo Italiano, North Fork Brewery, The Black Cat, Saltadena Bakery, Ambo Ethiopian Cuisine and Tacos el Tule restaurants have closed until further notice.

The Mount Bakery will close after Thursday, March 19., until further notice.

Regal Barkley Village theaters will close Tuesday, March 17, until further notice.

The Bellingham Farmers Market will be closed at least through April 30.

The Colophon Cafe is closed until March 31.

NEKO Cat Cafe is closed. “All of our fur babies will remain at NEKO during this time and our staff will continue to care for them the way we always do. Sending pawsitive vibes to the world right meow.”

Wanida Thai Cuisine Bellingham, 360-746-8642, offers take-out and delivery service.

Life Force Ninja is temporarily closed starting March 16. Punch cards do not expire so they can be redeemed when the business reopens.

Saltine, a restaurant in Bellingham, will be closed for two weeks starting March 16.

Herb’s Cider tasting room is closed. However, the production warehouse remains open.

1-Up Lounge is closed until further notice but is selling gift cards.

Horseshoe Cafe, in downtown Bellingham, is closed as of March 16.

Inside Pitch is closed as of March 16.

Albert J. Hamilton, Post 7, American Legion has canceled all activities and will close starting March 17.

The Nooksack Northwood Casino announced on Facebook that it will be closed until at least March 31.

The Silver Reef Casino and Resort announced it will close for two weeks and hopes be able to reopen on April 31.

Retail

Yeager’s Sporting Goods will close until April 6.

Also now closed: Boxx Berry Farm.

Dakota Art is offering curbside pickup of art supplies from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Saturday.

Southside Trends, a consignment clothing store, Rawganique in Blaine and Bellingham Frameworks have closed until further notice.

The RE Store has temporarily closed but is working to develop online and over the phone sales, according to Samantha Hale, marketing and outreach manager.

The Assistance League of Bellingham’s Thrift & Gift Shop will be closed until April 28.
