Update on company layoffs in Washington
Here’s a list of recent Worker Adjustment Retraining Notifications sent out by the state’s Employment Security Department. The Nordstrom notice is for a store that’s closing in Vancouver, while Amgen is closing its Seattle facility:
Company: Microsoft (Redmond) will lay off 635 employees, effective December 28, 2014
Date of Notification: October 30, 2014
Company: Nordstrom (Vancouver) will lay off 142 employees, effective January 10, 2015
Date of Notification: October 31, 2014
Company: Group Health (Seattle) will lay off 102 employees, effective December 31, 2014
Date of Notification: October 31, 2014
Company: Amgen (Seattle) will lay off 274 employees, effective December 31, 2014
