A few local biz tidbits...

It’s been a while since I’ve posted some local tidbits, and they’ve been piling up:

-- Things appear to moving along on the Taco Bell project at Sunset Square, at least from a paperwork standpoint. Building and sign permits were approved by the city for construction of the restaurant in the southeast parking lot area (near Safeway).

-- A permit application was submitted to do some interior demolition work at 4151 Meridian St., Suite 106, in the old Hobbytown space, to make way for an unnamed tenant.

-- Tandori Bites has submitted a permit to expand into a vacant space at 505 32nd St., in the Viking Plaza. Burrito King also recently opened in the Viking Plaza.

-- The major remodel of The Black Cat in Fairhaven is ongoing, according to its Facebook page. No reopening date announced yet.

-- A Bellingham permit was submitted to build 12,000-square-foot dry cast building at 4116 Bakerview Spur.
