Upcoming Bellingham workshop focuses on fraud-proofing a business

Here’s a news release about a workshop fraud-proofing a business:

VSH and Peoples Bank will present, “Is Your Business Fraud-Proof?” on Thursday, Oct. 16 at the Hampton Inn’s Fox Hall in Bellingham from 7-9 a.m.

Tristan Hurlbert, forensic accountant from VSH CPAs and a specialist in internal fraud detection and prevention, will give business owners the tools to create a control environment in their company that helps mitigate fraud. He will cover different types of internal fraud and how to implement prevention policies. People’s Bank will discuss the tools that banks can provide help detect and prevent fraud in business.

Attendees will also get the chance to hear from a panel featuring the following:

A buffet breakfast will be served at 7 a.m., followed by the presentation at 7:30 a.m.. CPE credits will be available for this presentation.
