The program’s kick-off presentation is scheduled for Friday, May 16.

Over the next several months, TAG will present a series of programs addressing the needs of businesses, starting with selecting a core business system and progressing monthly through website development, managing website and customer information and ending with an examination of the impact the “Cloud” has on small business operations. Registration is open online at

The first presentation in the series, “A Quick Guide to Making Technology Choices”, is moderated by Allen Pemberton of Pemberton Consulting. Pemberton will give a presentation focused around helping business owners and operators learn a methodology for attempting to identify and select technical solutions for their businesses. His talk will cover solutions to bookkeeping, customers, point of sales, inventory, marketing, staff schedule and more. Pemberton will discuss the pitfalls that face managers when trying to select a solution and examples of the process, and provide ideas and resources to assist them in this process.

“In today’s technical business environment, a business’ infrastructure is its most critical asset,” says Pemberton, “This is true whether the business is small or large. Managing that information is their #1 job. This starts with establishing a well-designed framework.”
