The construction industry in Whatcom County has fallen into a nice rhythm heading into the fall season, according to the latest data.
Building permit approvals are starting to wind down as developers are less likely to start a construction project that goes through the winter months.
The number of people working in construction last month was the highest of the year, which is also typical as September generally has good weather and contractors want to finish projects before the rain and wind arrive.
Building permits and construction workers should decrease in the coming months, with permits usually starting to pick up again in early 2015.
