Del's Feed & Farm to close Bellingham store

Del's Feed & Farm Supply will be closing its Bellingham store.

The store is located at 4781 Guide Meridian, north of Wal-Mart. Del's officials have announced that they will not seek to relocate to a new location in Bellingham. Liquidation at the store will begin Friday, Jan. 2.

"Del's has been a member of the Bellingham retail community for more than eight years, and we want to thank our customers for their loyalty and business for all of those years," said Del's District Manager Scott Whitfield in a press release. "With the end of our lease approaching at this older building, it was the best business decision to focus our efforts on providing the best products and service at our nearby Mount Vernon store location."

The Mount Vernon store is at 2500 Cedar Dale Road. Del's will continue to operate a total of 20 store locations throughout the state of Washington. More information about store locations throughout Washington can be found at delsfarmsupply.com.

"This was a business decision based on many factors, but we hope to better serve these customers in Mount Vernon and at our other store locations," said Whitfield. "The closing of the store is not a reflection on the employees or the community. For our customers, we'll be honoring all warranties at our other stores and local service centers."

Del's offers a wide selection of products tailored to those who enjoy the rural lifestyle, and specializes in equine, livestock and pet merchandise.

The company, headquartered in Lakewood, has been in the Pacific Northwest for the past 35 years. Del's is part of Tractor Supply Company. Tractor Supply Company, listed on the NASDAQ stock exchange as TSCO, operates more than 800 stores in 43 states.
