The new Concourse A extension at Charlotte Douglas International Airport is opening this month. The almost 230,000-square-foot nine-gate addition will house airlines United, Southwest, JetBlue, Frontier and Air Canada.
While the Phillips Place and Stonecrest at Piper Glen Dean and Deluca locations are closed, the uptown location at 201 S. Tryon St. closed briefly Thursday afternoon, but then reopened and is expected to close sometime next week.

The chain’s CEO said the plan is to liquidate all U.S. stores, and likely those in Australia, France, Poland, Portugal and Spain. Stores in Canada, central Europe and Japan would remain open for potential buyers for those assets.
