Geof Morgan, 62, is director of the Whatcom Family and Community Network and also a musician and songwriter.
Claim to fame: Morgan loves playing guitar, tambura and trumpet, and singing Balkan music with the Fourth Corner International Folk Dance Band; playing and singing with Kulshan Chorus; and occasionally sitting in with The Atlantics.
He says his work as network director "has allowed me to work with some amazing folks in this community that are committed to improving the lives of all children and families."
What's next? Morgan is busy with a doctoral program in educational leadership at Seattle University, researching new models of shared leadership in communities.
