Maria Frazey of Bellingham is 10 years old and developed this recipe herself, adding "it tastes really good."

DOUBLE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

Ingredients

21/4 cups flour

3/4 cup cocoa

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 cup butter, softened

3/4 cup brown sugar

3/4 cup sugar

2 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 12-ounce package chocolate chips

Directions

In large bowl, mix flour, cocoa, salt and baking soda.

In another large bowl, mix butter and sugar.

When fully blended, add brown sugar.

Add eggs and vanilla and mix well.

Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients.

Add chocolate chips and mix well.

On baking sheet, place 1 tablespoon of dough for each cookie.

Bake at 375 degrees for 12 minutes.
