MYSTERY CHOCOLATE TOFFEE
Soda crackers with unsalted tops

1 stick of butter
2/3 cup packed brown sugar
12 ounces chocolate chips
1/2 cup thinly sliced almonds
Line 9- by 13-inch baking dish with foil, bringing up 1 inch on all sides.
Place one layer of soda crackers in bottom of dish.
Melt butter in small pan. Add brown sugar to butter and bring to boil.
Boil for 1 minute while stirring.
Pour syrup over crackers.
Bake at 375 degrees for 7 minutes.
Remove pan from oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips.
Return to oven for 1-2 minutes.
Remove from oven and spread melted chocolate evenly over top.
Sprinkle with nuts.
Cool and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
Lift from pan and break into pieces.
