Bellingham

Builders Club: Open creative play with a variety of Legos, Duplos, straw connectors and more; 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesdays, March 24, April 21, May 26, and 1-3 p.m. Saturdays, March 14, April 11, May 9, in the lecture room at the Central Library, 210 Central Ave.

Fairhaven Builders Club: Open creative play with a variety of Legos, Duplos, straw connectors and more; 2-4 p.m. Saturdays, March 7, April 4, May 2, in the Fireplace Room at the Fairhaven Branch Library, 1117 12th St.

Spring Movie Matinees: All ages welcome, call 360-778-7200 for movie titles; 2 p.m. Monday, April 6; Tuesday, April 7; Thursday, April 9; Friday, April 10, in the lecture room at the Central Library.

Wii and Wii U Games: Ages 6-12 with parents welcome; 2-4 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, in the lecture room at the Central Library.

Baby Time: For non-walking babies with an adult partner, pre-registration required at 360-778-7200; 2-2:45 p.m. Tuesdays, March 3 to May 5 (except April 7) in the Dodson Room at the Central Library. The eight-week class focuses on the interaction between parent and child. Parents will learn a variety of bounces, songs, rhymes, fingerplays, and movement to use at home to develop baby’s early literacy skills. Baby play time occurs the last 20 minutes of class.

Little Storytime: For children 3 and younger with an adult; 10:05-10:35 a.m., 10:35-11:05 a.m. and 11:05-11:35 a.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, March 2 to May 6 (except the week of April 6), in the Dodson Room at the Central Library. This storytime develops early literacy skills by introducing babies and toddlers to the love of books, songs, rhymes, fingerplays, and movement.

Preschool Storytime: For children ages 3 to 5 with an adult; 10:15-10:45 a.m. and 11-11:30 a.m. Thursdays, March 5 to May 7 (except April 9), in the Dodson Room at the Central Library. This storytime encourages development of pre-reading skills through stories, songs, rhymes, fingerplays, and narrative. Enjoy a fun and simple craft at the end.

Time for Tales: For children ages 4 to 8 with families welcome; 2-2:45 p.m. Thursdays, March 5 to May 7 (except April 9), in the Dodson Room at the Central Library. This storytime promotes the love of books through stories and songs while developing reading comprehension skills. Plus, kids get to be creative with a fun craft.

BLAINE

Toddler Time: An active 20- to 30-minute early literacy program with lots of movement for ages 1 to 3; 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays, through June 2, at Blaine Library, 610 Third St.

DEMING

Preschool Storytime: 30-minute early literacy program for ages 3 to 5; 10:30 a.m. Wednesdays, through June 3, at Deming Library, 5044 Mount Baker Highway.

EVERSON

Play and Learn Storytime: An hour of fun for ages 3 to 5: a preschool storytime followed by a playtime with a variety of early learning activities such as math, science, art, and literacy toys; 10:30 a.m. Mondays through May 18, at Everson Library, 104 Kirsch Drive.

FERNDALE

Toddler Time: An active 20- to 30-minute early literacy program with lots of movement for ages 1 to 3; 10:30 a.m. Mondays, through May 18, at Ferndale Library, 2125 Main St.

Storytime: 30-minute early literacy program for aes 2-6; 10:30 a.m. Wednesdays, through May 20, at Ferndale Library, 2125 Main St.

Play and Learn Storytime: An hour of fun for ages 3 to 5: a preschool storytime followed by a playtime with a variety of early learning activities such as math, science, art, and literacy toys; 10:30 a.m. Fridays, through May 22, at Ferndale Library, 2125 Main St.

Family Storytime: A 30-minute early literacy program for ages 3 to 8, 10:30 a.m. Saturdays, throught May 23, at Ferndale Library, 2125 Main St.

FOOTHILLS

Preschool Storytime: 30-minute early literacy program for ages 3 to 5; 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays, through May 26, at North Fork Library, 7506 Kendall Road.

Family Storytime: A 30-minute early literacy program for ages 3 to 8, 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays, March 10, April 14 and May 12, at Lummi Island Library, 2144 S. Nugent Road.

Playful Baby: A 20-minute storytime program that includes early learning play for caregivers and babies up to the age of 2; 10 a.m. Thursdays through May 21, at Lynden Library, 216 Fourth St.
