Frances Lucille Burns was born the fifth of seven children, February 9, 1912, in Liberal, Kansas.Frances graduated from Liberal, Kansas High School as salutatorian of the class of 1930, married E.J. “Slim” Johnson in 1939 and lived in Kansas, Illinois, and Texas until Frances, with Slim and their sons Jim and Jerry, moved to Oregon, then on to Washington State and has lived in Washington since the summer of 1957.Frances has survived cancer surgery, an automobile accident, the death of her only husband in 1983 and, as of February 9, 2012, 100 years of living. She does not know why she has lived this long and simply says “God is in control and I will be happy to meet him face to face whenever He sees fit.”Frances resided at Lakeway Mobile Estates in Bellingham from 1983 through most of 2011 before moving to Emeritus at Fairhaven Assisted Living.Birthday wishes may be sent to:Frances L.
