Dorothy was born August 8, 1920 in Fairhaven, Wa. She lived in Seattle during World War two and was "Dorothy the Riveter" for Boeing. Later, she moved to Skagit County doing different jobs, then took nurses training and worked in Skagit County. Dorothy was an avid fisherwoman, snowmobiler and horseback rider and camper in the hills and mountains of Skagit. Dorothy has fond memories of her raft trips down the Snake and Colorado Rivers. She enjoyed a trip to Hawaii and her fishing trip to Alaska. She speaks fondly of her friend Vie Marr and the trips they took with Hesselgraves tours.Dorothy lived in Birdsview, WA, until she moved to James St. Estates in 1989.
