Frank and Gene Brown will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary with an open house Saturday, June 14th, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at St. James Presbyterian Church. Friends and family are welcome.They met on a blind date after choir practice at St. James in 1936, when Gene was attending Bellingham Normal School and Frank was working for Puget Sound Pulp and Timber. Frank retired from Georgia Pacific in 1979. Their children are Susan Bornstein of Bothell, David (Kathy) Brown of Port Angeles, Steven (Philomena) of Port Angeles, and Libby (Katsunori) Brown-Osuga of Manila, Phillipines. Their oldest son Michael is deceased, his wife and family live in Bellingham and California. Nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren. We succeeded because of a sense of humor and a great family. No gifts please.
