Edward (Ted) and Mary Onyon (nee Lennox) were married May 1, 1943 at St. John’s Presbyterian Church in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. They honeymooned at Niagara Falls.
He is a retired Tool Engineer and she is retired from the banking industry.
Ted and Mary enjoyed their years raising their children first in Canada and then in Southern California. Their children are Edward (Bonnie), Douglas (Gloria), Robert (Lenore), and Mary (Bill). They are now blessed with ten grandchildren, Lisa, Robert, Kelly, Heather (Andy), Kristi (Shadi), Christopher, and Andrew — including stepgrandchildren Geneva (Ed), Erika (Steve) and Quinlan; thirteen great-grandchildren, Jessica, Spencer, Zachary, Michaela, Naomi, Gaven, Aaron, Tristan, and Benjamin — including stepgreat-grandchildren, Allyson, Alex, Grace, and Emma; and one great-great-grandchild, Cloey.
Ted and Mary celebrated their sixty fifth wedding anniversary with a family dinner at CJ’s Beach House in Birch Bay, WA on May lst. They attribute their sixty-five years of successful marriage to having a loving family, having shared interests, and to honoring their vows to each other.
