William R. "Bill" Scribner of Bellingham will celebrate his 80th birthday with a family dinner. Born on March 30, 1928, Bill married Barbara (Curtis) in 1950 on Orcas Island and they moved to Bellingham in 1957. A truck-driver for over 30 years, Bill retired from Oak Harbor Freight Lines in 1990.
His children are Rick (Jean) Scribner and Joanie (Don) Whitener. He has two grandsons Kevin and Eric Whitener (Kelli), one granddaughter, Margie Scribner, and two great-granddaughters, Violet and Adeline Whitener.
Bill enjoys spending time with his family, puttering in his shop, gardening, and playing with his two Corgis, Frankie and Johnny.
