Alben G. Moberg of Bellingham will celebrate his 90th birthday with a no-gift open house from 12:00 to 3:00 pm. on Saturday, February 16 at the community clubhouse at Mill Wheel Mobile Home Park at 4000 Flynn St.
Alben was born February 16, 1918, in Nooksack to Elizabeth and Erick Moberg.
He was devoted to his wife of 59 years, Louise Moberg, who has passed away.
He was employed by Darigold for 35 years and retired in 1980. Over the years he has enjoyed hiking, including yearly trips to Hidden Lake on Sumas Mountain near his family’s old homestead. For years he was an avid hunter of agates, combing various Washington beaches to add to his collection. He is passionate about aviation, particularly WWII aircraft, and took a ride in a B-17 this past summer. Alben is also very interested in astronomy, finding fascination with all we know and don’t know about the cosmos.

His children are Susan Malsbary and husband Dick of Ferndale and Steve Moberg and wife Brenda of Bellingham. He has two grandsons.
