Long-time residents William (Bud) and Charmie Hewett celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on January 4, 2008.
They were married 60 years ago in Bellingham and raised their family here as well. They opened the Color Pot in downtown Bellingham in 1955, and it is still operated by the family.
After retiring from the family business, they have enjoyed traveling and “snow-birding” in Arizona.
Best wishes and love from their family, Melvin Hewett of Bellingham, Bill (Teri) Hewett of Bellingham, Pat (Ernie) Higman of Lynden, and Greg Hewett (Neil Kruse) of Bellevue. They also have 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren living in the area.
