Share a fall art project

Help your kids create a leaf mobile using watercolor resist. This is a super fun and low mess project to do with children of any age, according to Gabriel Miles, one of's "Sharing the Arts" blogger. Read more about it here.

Gabriel runs Gabriel’s Art Kids Preschool and After School Arts, at 1415 Dupont St., in Bellingham. She has students — from preschool through adults — in public schools, community centers and at her own classes. She has been a teaching artist with Allied Arts for more than seven years, and has taught toddler and after-school classes at Whatcom Museum, and volunteered to teach art to children with Down syndrome. She has taught 2-D, mixed media, watercolor, acrylic, pastels, colored pencils, charcoal, printmaking, 3-D, books, clay, and mixed media sculptures (recycled materials).
