Don’t worry, these romantic Bellingham restaurants have tables open for Valentine’s Day
Valentine’s Day is Wednesday, Feb. 14, and although its less than a week away, you are not too late to grab a romantic dinner reservation.
Here are a few local Bellingham restaurants that still have some open reservations as of Feb. 8:
The Black Cat
The Black Cat won The Bellingham Herald’s poll for the most romantic restaurant in Whatcom County last year, and serves a variety of dinner dishes such as ribeye, salmon, beef stroganoff, halibut and more. The restaurant also has a full bar, desserts and a wide variety of appetizers.
The Black Cat is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday. The Black Cat offers a late-night menu from 10 p.m. until close, and is located at 1200 Harris Ave. in Bellingham. Reservations can be made online or by calling 360-733-6136.
Skylark’s Hidden Cafe
Skylark’s Hidden Cafe is serving some Valentine’s Day specials on Feb. 14, such as sweet potato, sage and brown butter soup, sirloin, lobster, fettuccine alfredo, cheesecake and a special chocolate raspberry martini.
Skylark’s is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday at 1308 11th St., and reservations can be made online.
Boundary Bay Brewery
Boundary Bay Brewery is hosting a fun alternative to the traditional Valentine’s dinner, as guests and their sweethearts can participate in a brewery tour. The tour includes beer tastings, a pint of beer at the restaurant’s private Mountain Room Bar and hors d’oeuvres. The tour starts at 5:30 p.m. and is strictly 21-and-over. Tickets costs $25 per person and must be purchased online in advance. Boundary Bay Brewery is at 1107 Railroad Ave. in Bellingham.
Keenan’s at the Pier
Keenan’s at the Pier, a waterfront restaurant, is offering a pre-fixed Valentine special dinner that includes four courses. The menu includes an appetizer such as oysters, bone marrow or scallop carpaccio, followed by a soup or salad, king salmon, boar chop, wild mushroom ragout and ending with your choice of dessert from cheesecake to lemon tiramisu. The four-course dinner costs $90 per person, and a $45 wine pairing add-on is also available.
Keenan’s at the Pier is serving the dinner from 4 to 9 p.m. at 804 10th St. in Bellingham. Reservations can be made online or by calling 360-392-5510.
