Skagit County Historical Museum is reopening after a recent closure for remodeling with its 16th annual “The Gathering” of Native American artists and crafters who will demonstrate and sell their work. It’s from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, at the museum, 501 S. Fourth Street, in La Conner.
The museum focuses on the historical and cultural heritage of Skagit County. Upcoming displays include “Death Becomes Her: Mourning Fashions” from Jan. 17 to March 15, and “Doctor, Doctor: A History of healing Skagit County,” opening Jan. 30.
The museum is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday-Sunday. Admission: $5 adults, $10 families, $4 seniors over 65 and children 6-12. Museum members and children under 6 are admitted free. Details: 360-466-3365 and skagitcounty.net/museum.
