Space remains available next week for “Why Animals Don’t Wear Clothes,” a free one-hour class for Mini Explorers (3-5 years old) at the Breazeale Interpretive Center, a nature center with aquariums and displays focusing on the natural history of Padilla Bay in the Skagit Valley town of Bay View.

Classes are at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, and 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15. The class examines feathers, shells, scales, and slime: the “clothing” of estuary animals. Registration is required at padillabay.gov or 360-428-1558.

Admission to the nature center is free; hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. The center is at 10441 Bayview-Edison Road.
