Behind the Scenes: Branford Marsalis, Capitol Steps on tap for 2014-15 season at Mount Baker Theatre

Mount Baker Theatre’s 2014- 2015 season begins soon with the Main Stage Repertory Theater’s production of “Little Shop of Horrors,” opening Wednesday, Sept. 24, and the season ending May 9 with “Visions from Cape Breton.”

The season includes a wide range of musical performances, Broadway revues, dance and drama.

McIntyre Hall plans open house, reveals new schedule

About 30 minutes from Bellingham, Skagit Valley College’s McIntyre Hall in Mount Vernon kicks off its season with a community open house from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18.

Upcoming performances at the hall will feature theater, dance, world music, blues, country, jazz, family programs and lectures, with emerging artists as well as award-winning artists. Here’s the lineup:
