Grammy-nominated bluegrass duo Rob Ickes and Trey Hensley released their debut album, “Before The Sun Goes Down” in 2015; a blend of contemporary bluegrass and the studio stylings of classic ’60s and ’70s country music. The album pairs Ickes, the International Bluegrass Music Association's 15-time Dobro Player of Year, with Hensley on electric and acoustic guitar; Hensley’s voice has been compared to George Jones and Merle Haggard.
Hip hop’s Aesop Rock at the Buffalo
Born in New York, now a resident of San Francisco, Aesop Rock has been a fixture in underground hip hop for nearly two decades. Widely hailed as one of the most creative lyricists in the game, Aesop is a master of layered metaphors and tricky wordplay. In a study by Matthew Daniels comparing the vocabulary of 85 rappers, Aesop Rock was at the top of the list with the largest vocabulary in hip hop.
